  The Process:

The journey from brokenness to wholeheartedness often begins with acknowledging and accepting our pain and struggles. It involves seeking support and guidance, whether through therapy or self-reflection. This process allows for deeper connections to the parts of ourselves that we struggle with whilst strengthening our relationships with others. It is through healthier relationships with others that we get to witness this internal transformation and experience a greater sense of well-being.

 What to expect:

As a client you can expect a more personalised and complete approach to mental health and wellbeing.  This flexibility enables me to work within a broad spectrum of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship challenges. My hope is that it leads to internal transformation and the experience of a life lived wholeheartedly.

 How I work:

I work by integrating and merging techniques from diverse therapeutic disciplines, choosing the most effective and efficient approach.  Essentially, I seek to meet you where you are at and work with you to ultimately uncover the belief systems that are derailing your efforts whilst working to strengthen relationships to broken or wounded parts, so that you can connect with others from a place of wholeness.   My goal as a facilitator is to create an environment where people can explore, heal, and grow with the support they need.

Ways we can connect:

Live video

Video therapy has emerged as a highly effective and convenient way to receive mental health support. Studies show that it can be just as beneficial as traditional in-person therapy, especially for treating conditions like depression, anxiety and panic disorders. With video therapy, you can enjoy the comfort and privacy of your own home while still having face-to-face interactions with your therapist, making it a practical and accessible option for many.

Live Telephone

Telephone therapy offers a convenient and effective way to receive mental health support. Many find it less intimidating than face-to-face sessions, allowing for greater comfort and privacy. Plus, research shows it’s just as effective as in-person therapy for many conditions.

Live Messaging

Live messaging therapy, also referred to as text or chat therapy, provides numerous advantages:

  • It can be less daunting than in-person sessions, potentially diminishing the stigma of seeking therapy.
  • It affords time for reflection, enabling more deliberate and insightful responses.
  • Backed by research:  Studies indicate that text therapy can be just as effective as conventional face-to-face therapy in treating issues such as anxiety and depression.

Counselling FAQ's

The length of time it takes to see results from counselling sessions with Victoria Counselling Services varies depending on the individual and the issues being addressed. Some clients may see improvements after just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term support.

Counselling sessions are held remotely, via online conferencing, telephone or live messaging.

Each counselling session costs £50 and lasts 50 minutes.  Sessions are paid for in advance and typically occur on a weekly basis, although this can vary for each client, stage of involvement and circumstance.

Packages are available for clients wanting a more consistent and cost effective therapy.

I use Signal, an app that adheres to GDPR here in the UK.  It is a mobile app that offers end-to-end encryption.   Signal has a disappearing message function which allows our messages to remain confidential.

Similar to other online therapies, you simply log on at your scheduled time and conduct counselling via messaging.

All services offer complete confidentiality, excluding the legal exceptions and limitations that are set out in the working agreement.  These relate to unlawful activities, safeguarding issues and significant risk of harm to others. The working agreement or contract can be downloaded via my contact page or by requesting a copy.

The messaging platform Signal is a secure end-to-end encryption app.  No data shared with third parties.  Only your phone number and first is required to begin.
